‘I find this an extraordinary gift that you are offering the churches. It is a timely space for Anna Chaplaincy to come in.‘ Revd Dr Sally Foster-Fulton, Moderator, Church of Scotland.
Thursday, 30th May, 10am-12.30pm
A Zoom Seminar
Debbie Ducille, Ministry Lead in Anna Chaplaincy will lead us through what comes after knowing about the potential of Anna Chaplaincy and what you and your Church need to consider.
Anna Chaplaincy is a community-based Christian chaplaincy, offering spiritual care in later life to those of strong, little or no faith and those within their network of relationships.
In a recent webinar hosted by FiOP (20 March), keynote speakers recognised Anna Chaplaincy as a timely response to current pastoral issues, a rapidly ageing society, and a desire to honour older people in our midst. Anna Chaplaincy has a proven track record as a flexible, compassionate model of ministry among older people in our communities, often led by people of mature years themselves. Is this the right time for your church to explore Anna Chaplaincy?
In this workshop, Ministry Lead Debbie Ducille will present an outline of the vision, training, principles, and processes of Anna Chaplaincy. Participants will be invited to reflect on their own contexts, exploring next practical steps together of how to set up this ministry in their local church.
We look forward to welcoming you.
